ALTA V. BARNHART, 86, 844 Spruce St., died at the Washington County Hospital Monday. Born in Mt. Lena, she was a daughter of the late Sihon and Catherine E. Beachley Lum. She was the wife of the late Lester H. Barnhart.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Bittner Bible Class.
She is survived by four sons, Ernest W. Barnhart, Charles H. Barnhart, Albert B. Barnhart, and Kenneth D. Barnhart, all of Hagerstown; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Ridgeway and Mrs. June Webb, both of Hagerstown; 29 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
Services were held at the Minnich Funeral Home. Burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery.
