Musician. An acclaimed drummer, he played and recorded for the Motown/Soul record label “Jr. Walker and The All Stars” for their 1965 album release, “Roadrunner”. Due to record company and production issues, though, he never received documented credits or royalties for the Motown “Roadrunner” release. In January of 1966 toured with musicians Junior Walker, Willie Woods and Victor Thomas, playing venues such as the Apollo Theatre in New York City, New York, The Regal Theatre in Chicago, Illinois, The Uptown Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Shea Stadium in New York. During his career he performed with music artists such as Wilson Picket, Sam & Dave, The Staple Singers, Marvin Gaye, and The Temptations. Until the end of his career he actively played and toured with his own group projects “The Rhythm Rockers”, the “Billy Nicks Jazz Trio“ and (re-formed and touring with) “The Jr. Walker All Star Band”.
