FAMILY HISTORY: THOMAS FISH (b.8MAY1584 in Wedgenock Park, Warwickshire, England, d.12JAN1673 in Great Bowden, England), in 1609 married Mary Sprigge (24JAN1585-12JAN1673). They had 6 children: Craddock (1612-1691); Esther (b.1622); Hannah (1622-1625); John (married Cecelia Freeman in 1640, d. 18NOV1663 in Sandwich, Barnstable MA); Nathaniel (1619-1693) and JONATHAN. Prior to 1637, brothers John, Nathaniel (1619-1693) and JONATHAN Fish landed in Lynn, MA.
JONATHAN (b.16FEB1616 in Great Bowden, Leicestershire England, died 1663 in Newtown Township, Queens Co, NY) married Mary Goodale (b.1630 in Ipswich, Suffolk ENG, d.5JAN1669 in Salam, Essex MA). They had 3 children: John (1646-1680), Samuel (1648-1700) and NATHAN. In 1659 they moved from Lynn, MA to Newtown, Long Island NY (per page 192, “Genealogical Guide to the Early Settlers of America”).
NATHAN FISH [(b.18DEC1650 in Sandwich, Barnstable Co, MA, d. 1AUG1734), married Judith Elizabeth Allison in 1682 (AKA Knickerbocker, b.1652, d. 27JUL1708 in Long Island, Queens Co, NY). They had 5 children: Mary (1687-1757); Samuel (1689-1767); Ambrose (1696-1728); Nathaniel (1700-1769)] and BENJAMIN.
BENJAMIN FISH (FAG1866047757-b.12MAY1697 in Long Island, Queens Co, NY, d.18OCT1773 in Ewing, Hunterdon, NJ) married Sara Sackett Moore [(b.29SEP1706, d.17MAR1790 in Ewing, Mercer NJ), daughter of Joseph Moore (b.1689, d.1760 in Queensboro, Lewis Co.
