Maxine Ransdell
94, of Beech Grove - passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017. She was born October 24, 1923 in Indianapolis to the late George and Hortense (Newton) Beckner. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon J. Ransdell, and grandson, Elliott Gough. Maxine was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and Altar Society. She volunteered at St. Francis Hospital for many years. Maxine enjoyed playing cards and bowling, but her family and church were most important to her. The family would like to thank the Franciscan Hospice House staff family for their genuine and compassionate care.
She is survived by her 7 children, Stephen Ransdell (Laura), Susan Poindexter (Garry), Ronald G. Ransdell, Rita Osborne (Frederick "Ozzie"), Patricia Hole (Meredith), Perri Herron (Mark), and Chris Gough (Jim); 19 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation is 3:00pm to 7:00pm Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St., Beech Grove, Indiana. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Monday, December 4, 2017 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 N 17th Ave., Beech Grove, Indiana with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
