Mark F. LeClair, age 93, a resident of Wisteria Haus, Two Rivers, died Saturday evening , December 2, 2017.

Mark was born on October 21, 1924 in Two Rivers, WI, son of the late Albert and Anna (Duerschmidt) LeClair. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers, class of 1943. Mark served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. He spent 18 months in the Pacific Theatre. Mark worked on his father’s commercial fishing boat. On April 17, 1948 he married the former Elaine Herman at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple enjoyed 69 years of marriage. Mark ran Herman’s Bar then worked for the United States Postal Service in Manitowoc for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Manitowoc Yacht Club and a lifetime member of Branch 490 of the National Association of Letter Carriers. Mark loved to fish and had many happy years in the summer at their trailer at Chaudoir’s Dock with their family and friends. He loved to sing and was a former member of the Barbershoppers and sang with a quartet called The Harborlites. He was always the life of the party. Mark loved his family very much.

Survivors include his wife: Elaine, Two Rivers, four children: John and Kathy LeClair, Luxemburg, Robert and Wanda LeClair, Manitowoc, Michael and Janet LeClair, Plover, Lori and Patrick Jarvis, Dublin, OH; five grandchildren: Luke (Leah) LeClair, Alex (Kamie) LeClair, Andrea (Chad) Rusk, Nick Jarvis and Abby Jarvis; five great grandchildren: Mckeon, Hollynd, Gavin, Ariana and Henry. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Mark was also preceded in death by three brothers: Roland, Raymond and Howard; two sisters: Dolores and Bernice.

Funeral services will be held at 12p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Rich Bahnaman. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
