Ruth, 64, 621 Indiana Ave., St. Marys, died at 5:25 a.m., at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.

She was the daughter of James and Elizabeth (Kelley) Sampson. On Dec 5, 1970, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, she married Dean Wale, who survives at the residence.

Surviving are a son, Brian, St. Marys; four brothers: David, Minster, Jim (Carla), John (Kathy) and Pat (Kathy) Sampson, all St. Marys; two sisters: Anna (Kevin) Katterhenry, Celina, and Julie (Jim) Hollman, St. Marys; mother-in-law, Mary Wale, St. Marys; and four grandsons and three great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a daughter, Brenda Howell, Sep 15, 2017; and a brother linked below.

A homemaker, she loved babysitting. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and she will be remembered as a simple, generous woman who loved to give gifts to her family and friends. She was very devoted to her faith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Saint Marys.
