Mary V. Castle 82, of Granby, beloved wife of the late Robert W. Castle, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at the Governor's House in Simsbury. Born in Kerens, WV, the daughter of the late Brown and Amy Vanscoy, she lived in Granby for the past 60 years. Mary served in the U.S. Navy during World War 2, and was a member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, and a former member of the Hesper Chapter # 71 O.E.S. of Simsbury. She leaves a daughter and son in law, Audrey and Kevin Borgstedt of Wethersfield; two sons, Robert W. Castle, Jr. of Granby, and Ronald Castle and his wife Sherry of York, SC; two beloved grandsons, Zachery and Lucas Borgstedt, and was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters, [this is incorrect, 4 of her brothers had actually died before her]. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 10 at 10:00 am at the Hayes-Huling and Carmon Funeral Home in Granby
