Elisha Rainbolt , 87 years of age, died at the home of his niece,
Mrs. William Porter at Gibbs, Missouri Saturday morning at 9 AM
He had been in failing health for the past few months.. Last
Tuesday afternoon he fell down the stairway and injured himself and
had been bedfast since then.. Mr. Rainbolt was born in Indiana August
9, 1841.. He has made his home with his niece for the past thirty years…
The Porter family has lived in Gibbs for three years moving there from
Lancaster.. He leaves no other relatives in that area except his niece with
whom he made his home.. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon
at 2 PM at the Porter home in Gibbs, conducted by the Rev. J. Morgan
Harris..
Interment was in the Union Cemetery ….
During his short residence in this county, he has made a number of friends
in the Gibbs vicinity who will extend sympathy to the bereaved family ….
