Armin Kiekhaefer, 57, Wayside, died Saturday evening at his home.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. William Kiekhaefer was born in the Town of Morrison, Oct. 13, 1907.
On Sept. 21, 1935, he married the former Elsie Jensen in the former Trinity Lutheran Church, Denmark.
The couple lived in Wayside where he was employed as a lineman for the Wayside Telephone Co. for 33 years. Mr. Kiekhaefer was custodian of Zion Lutheran Church, Wayside, for 25 years. He was also a member of the Wayside Fire Department for many years, and a member of the Badger state Chapter of Independent Telephone Pioneer Association.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Ronald, Two Rivers; two daughters, Mrs. Garry Matuczak, Two Rivers; Dianne. at home; his mother, Mrs. William Kiekhaefer, Morrison; three brothers, Walter, Gerhard and Martin, all of Morrison; one sister, Mrs. Amos Natzke, Morrison.
He was preceded in death by his father.
At Schwartz Funeral Home, Morrison from 3 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday, then at Zion Lutheran Church, Wayside. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday, the church, with the Rev. II. II. Harthun officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
