Mrs. Jean Abercrombie, age 80, of Jonesboro, LA, died Friday, December 22, 2017 following a period of declining health.

Mrs. Abercrombie loved to laugh and be the life of the party or the dinner table. She loved her grandchildren more than life and enjoyed making them giggle.

Friends may visit with the family 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Saturday, December 23, 2017 at North Hodge Assembly of God in North Hodge, LA. Funeral services will be held 3:00pm at the church with Reverend Geary Phillips, Reverend David Wilson and Reverend Joel Sneed officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olive East Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Mrs. Abercrombie is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Abercrombie; sons, Reggie Askin and Todd Abercrombie; daughter, Leisha Abercrombie Smith & Jeff; grandchidren, Jordy Askin, Dustin Askin, Rod Folks, Bailee Abercrombie, Rachel Smith, Logan Smith, Luke Abercrombie and Noah Abercrombie; great grandchildren, Kiah Askin, Amiah Porter, Demi Houge and Greyson Jones; brother, James Newton Vail; sisters, Ann Wigley and Carolyn Carr; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.


Mrs. Abercrombie was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Carol Vail & Camille (Conville) Vail; grandchild, Christan Askin; sister, Bonnie Ayres.
