Mr. Lonnie “Ray” Danley, age 76, of Dobson, NC passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. He was born in Surry County on February 12, 1941 to Maggie A. Danley and the late Ellis Danley. He was a farmer and member of Hope Church. Surviving are his wife, Linda O’Neal Danley of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Buffy and Jimmy Danley of Ararat, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Penny Danley of Mt. Airy; three grandchildren, Ashley and husband Trent Horton, McKenzie Danley, and Ethan Danley; three great-grandchildren, Baylee, Brayden, and Ava; his mother, Maggie A. Danley of Mt. Airy; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Oliver Hudson of Mt. Airy; sister, Vickie Danley of Mt. Airy; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Barbara Danley of King; special family and friends, Wilma Simpson, Denise Ward, and Tony Atkins. Funeral service will be held Friday 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Turkey Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Craig Edwards, Rev. Joey Lane and Rev. Terry Johnson will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
