MARION, Ky. Services for George Hart, 70, of Marion will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Gilbert Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Howton officiating. Burial will be in Frances Cemetery.
Mr. Hart died at 3:35 a.m. Friday at Livingston County Hospital. He retired from U.S. Steel in Gary, after 33 years of work. He was a Marine veteran and a member of the Princeton Veterans of Foreign Wars post. A 1950 graduate of Frances High School, he was a former national high school basketball record-holder for scoring and was a member of the Crittenden County Athletic Hall of Fame. He also was a Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving are his wife, Pat C. Hart; one son, Robert Hart of Marion; and one sister, Joann Ulsas of Sun City, Ariz.
His parents were George and Lola Hart.
