Mrs. Catherine Ann Waldron, 63, of Jacksonville passed away December 21, 2017 at her residence. She was born on April 4, 1954 to the late Thomas J. and Mary Louise Collins.
Mrs. Waldron was a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She was preceded in death by her husband John Wayne Waldron, Sr. and two sisters Vera Jean Collins and Lounell Martin. Survivors include a daughter Nancy (Dan) Schmidt of Brunswick, GA. A son John Waldron, Jr. and his fiance Susan of Jacksonville, Sisters Brenda Small, Patricia Pilgrim, Naomi Downing all of Jacksonville and grandchildren Austin, Maddison, and Ashlynn.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM on January 5th until the hour of service. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday January 5, 2018 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne Jowers officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM in Jacksonville National Cemetery. Prestwood Funeral Home of Baldwin is serving the Waldron family.
