Mrs. Barnwell died Sunday, May 7, at her residence.
She was born April 28, 1917, to the late Elliott and Bessie Williams Walker. At an early age, she joined Hickory Hill United Methodist Church and served faithfully until she married the late William Henry Barnwell and moved her membership to Claflin United Methodist Church on relocating to the Claflin community. There she also served faithfully.
Survivors include a daughter, Bernice Manigo of Columbia; four sons, Dolphus Woodward of Jacksonville, Fla., Carl Barnwell and Freddie Barnwell, both of Bamberg , and Patrick Barnwell of Augusta, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the home of her daughter-in-law, Gloria Barnwell, 2517 Heritage Highway, Bamberg . They may also join the family in the fellowship hall of the church after the burial.
