Rolland was born July 29, 1936, in Traverse City, the son of John Sikorski and Sarah Hall.
Rolland served in the United States Army from 1959-1965. He was especially proud of his Native American Heritage, and membership in the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. Rolland loved to hunt and fish, even after he moved to Grand Rapids.
Rolland is survived by siblings, Edna Rinard, of Holton, John Sikorski, of Interlochen, Sandra Witkop, of Interlochen, Nancy Bower, of Interlochen, Shirley Witkop, of Interlochen, William Sikorski, of Glenwood Springs, CO, and Barbara Kleeman, of Cadillac; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Rolland was preceded in death by his parents; son William Anderson; 5 sisters; 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home, in Beulah, with Pastor Kenneth Blair officiating. Interment will take place in the Homestead Township Cemetery, in Beulah, in the spring. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home.
