Born May 7, 1938, in Twin Branch WV, he was the son of the late Martin Adams (1893-Deceased) and Bessie Dunigan-Adams-Worthington (1900-Deceased) and her husband Charlie Worthington (1909-Deceased). He has been a resident of McDowell County the greater part of his life. He is affiliated with the Baptist Faith, and a member of the Little Vine Baptist Church in Welch, WV. He was a retired custodian for the McDowell County Board of Education. He enjoyed hunting and ginsenging, but most of all he loved to tell you about Jesus. He seldom missed an opportunity to talk about his savior and testify as to what god has done for him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, his wife, Chloe Wells-Adams (Deceased); brothers, Clearance Adams (Deceased), Ralph Adams (Deceased), and William Adams (Deceased); sisters, Shirley Adams-Franklin (Deceased), Ruby Adams-Kinder (Deceased), and Marie Adams-Petrosino (Deceased); and great grandchild, Brooklyn Craft (Deceased).
Survivors include, three daughters, Sherry Adams-Brooks and husband Charles Brooks, Karen Adams-Collins and husband Ricky Collins all of Davy, WV, Sharon Adams-Akers and husband David Akers of Hampton GA; three brothers, Clyde Adams and wife Linda Adams of Lenoir NC, Murl Adams and wife Carol Adams of Fredricksburg VA, Frank Adams and wife Suzanne Adams of Strasburg VA; two sisters, Diane Adams-Green and husband Joe Green of High Point NC, and Sue Ellen Adams-Ballestero and husband Ray Ballestero of Myrtle Beach SSC; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Akers, Justin Adams, Shayna Brooks, Alisha Craft, Misty Akers, , Kristy Akers, Christopher Akers, Shawn Collins; eight great grandchildren, Kaylee Perkins, Kalieb Craft, Eddie Akers, Ethan Akers, Aubrey Newcomb, Karisma Brown, Abigail Bohin, Paisley Bohin.
Funeral Services will be conducted, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. from the Little Vine Baptist Church in Welch, WV, with Pastor, Tommy Belcher Officiating, Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV.
