Ms. Velma, age 77 and a resident of Lawtell, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at her residence.
Ms. Velma enjoyed working in her flowers and helping her neighbors. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Ms. Velma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Kent Ledoux and his wife, Daphne of Tennessee and Lester Ledoux and his wife, Crystal of Eunice; grandchildren, John Kurt Faul and his wife, Shellie of Church Point, Kris Kane Ledoux and his wife, Heidi of Mamou, Melissa Dunlap and her husband, Manny of Mamou, Johnathan Ledoux of Mamou, Shaun Ledoux of Euncie and Ryan Ledoux of Texas; 22 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Victoria B. Pitre of Lawtell.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirleen Ledoux Faul; son-in-law, Rickey Faul; parents, Amy Marie Lejeune Boone and Henry Boone, Sr.; sisters, Wilma Soileau, Mary Boone, Ella Bertrand, Lela Caswell, Nolia Carrier, Beulah Lintgen, Ruby Granger, Dorothy Roy, Virginia B. Bertrand and Eva Mae Boone; and brothers, James Boone, Louis G. Boone, Henry Boone, Jr., Walter Boone, Felix Boone, Anthony Boone, Hilden Boone, Gustin Boone, Daniel Boone and Adrian Boone.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin
