His gravestone states" To the memory of Rachel the wife of Edward White RN who died Aug 9 1830 aged 50, also George son of William and Francis Coltman who died 18 April 1833 aged 14, also William Coltman son of the above who died 27 July 1850 in the 35th year of his age, also the above William Coltman Senior who died 20 May 1852 aged 76 also Frances Mary daughter of Joel and Elizabeth Knight and grand-daughter of the above William and Frances Coltman who died April 5th 1854 in the 22nd year of her age.
