Hoy Quentin Hawkins, 88, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl. Dr. Keith Grubbs will officiate and Jana Gillis will provide the music.

Mr. Hawkins was a native of Smith County and a longtime resident of Rankin County. He was a very active member of Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl. Mr. Hawkins was retired from Siemens in Richland after 20 years of service and was a U. S. Navy Veteran, serving on the Battleship Pittsburgh from 1950-1953. He was a very devoted man to his family, loved to garden and traveling. Mr. Hawkins was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Hawkins of Brandon; daughters, Sherry Crawley (Allen) of Brandon and Tammy Graham (Mark) of Madison; son, Mickey Chandler of Brandon; grandchildren, Landy Taylor (Trent), Ronnie Hamilton (Dr. Brian), Lacie Gable (Joe), Morgan Hutson (Brock), Tara Clark (Trey), Lauren Cowan, Karlie Smith, Skylar Hodges and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Ora Hawkins; brother, Donald Hawkins; sisters, Lavez Blackwood, Kathleen Harris and Julia Jenkins.

Pallbearers will be Trent Taylor, Trey Clark, Brock Hutson, Jeff Jenkins, Skylar Hodges, Kent Hawkins, Josh Thrash and Carl Parker. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Jerry Johnson Sunday School Class.
