W. J. McKASSON
---W.J. McKasson died at his home in Glenwood Tuesday afternoon at the age of sixty-nine years. Mr. McKasson was stricken with paralysis last Friday and never recovered from the shock. The body was brought to La Plata yesterday noon and taken to the Baptist Church where the funeral services were held, conducted by Rev. J.W. Trower, after which the I.O.O.F. Lodge administered their last rites to their departed brother. Mr. McKasson was a resident of La Plata for many years.
---Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: O.D. McKasson of Kirksville, Mrs. Stella Smith of Glenwood, Mrs. Fred Crook of Glenwood, Mrs. H.W. Garlock of Cestus, Oklahoma and C.A. McKasson of Kellogg, Idaho.

William married his first wife, Malinda Ellen Burrier, on March 7, 1866 in Farmington, Van Buren County, Iowa. They had four children: Clara McKasson Garlock, Charles Augustus McKasson, Alice M. and Addie M. McKasson.

William married his second wife, Sarah Waddle, on March 22, 1876 in Macon County, Missouri. They had four children: Stella McKasson Smith, a daughter, Omer Daniel McKasson and Charlotte Mae McKasson Crook.
