Omer Daniel McKasson, 71, died in a local hospital Monday evening at six o'clock. He had been a resident of this vicinity for more than fifty years but had been in poor health for the past few years and seriously ill the past two months. McKasson was born in 1877, on a farm near La Plata and worked there previous to coming to this city. On Oct, 18, 1908, he was married to Margaret Brewer.
Funeral rites were conducted Wednesday afternoon by Rev. Ralph M. G. Smith at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Interment was in the Forest Park Cemetery.
The deceased is survived by his widow, three daughters, Dorothy and Maurine McKasson, of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Robert N. Howell, Jr., of Kirksville; a son O. D. McKasson, Jr., of Des Moines, Ia.; four grandchildren and two sisters.
