Margaret Robbins Diedrich was born in Fishers Landing, New York. She was a daughter of Henry and Nancy (McClement) Robbins. She moved out west from New York with her first husband James M Ackerman between 1910 and 1920. She and James later divorced. She married her second husband Rudolf Diedrich sometime after 1931.

She was a homemaker, and she also worked as a maid/servant.

She is survived by a sister Mary Hyde of Pulaski, New York; Half brothers Henry P. Robbins of Brownville, New York and Glen Smith of Marion, Michigan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sisters Anna Oatley, Jennie Derosia, and Honor Robbins; and a Half-brother Richard Robbins.
