Richard Robbins, 23, Never Regained Consciousness in Hospital.

FULTON- Richard Robbins, 23, of Fulton Rd 4, died Thursday afternoon, two hours after being admitted to Lee Memorial Hospital, from injuries received in an automobile crash on the Fulton-Hannibal Road, four miles west of Fulton.

Robbins, veteran of World War II and only recently discharged from the service, suffered a skull fracture and other injuries. He failed to regain consciousness after his car, which was reported travelling east, left the highway and crashed into a telephone pole near the Hanley Farm.

Robbins received his discharge from the army last month after serving 16 months in the Pacific area and the Philippines. He was employed in the Foster Service Station.

Services will be held at 2:30 Sunday at the Sprague Funeral Home Rev. Dr. Harold W. McGulvray, pastor of First Congregational church, will officiate.
