Graveside Eastern Star funeral services for Pauline Adams Woodward, 86, of San Antonio will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper. Pauline died March 22, 2007 in San Antonio. A native of Jasper and resident of San Antonio for over 60 years, she was born in Bessmay, Texas. She was employed by USAA as a Junior Underwriter before entering a career in education at Brackenridge High School in San Antonio, where she retired after 22 years. A Life Member of All Teachers Organizations and former Chairman of the San Antonio Women's Club Round Table, she was a member of Bright Shawl. She received 50 Year Pins from Order of The Eastern Star, Adah Chapter No. 49 and from Nekodah Temple No. 44, Daughters of the Nile. A long time member of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church in San Antonio, she was a life member of the Blue Birds at Methodist Hospital. Survivors include sister Elizabeth Huebner, niece Mary Peek, nephew R. M. Huebner and wife Tommie Jean, great nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn P. Woodward.
