James W Ablett died Saturday afternoon at the residence, 87 Vliet Street, after an illness of several months. He was born in Schaghticoke, but had resided in Cohoes practically all his life. For more than twenty years he was assistant armorer at the Cohoes state armory. Mr. Ablett was a member of St. Agnes' Church, the Holy Name Society, Cohoes Council, No. 192, Knights of Columbus; Cohoes Assembly, fourth degree, Knights of Columbus; Ga-ha-oose tribe, Improved Order of Red Men; Cohoes Lodge of Elks, and D. J. Johnston camp, U.S.W.V. He is survived by two sisters, Mary A and Agnes H Ablett, of Cohoes, and two brothers, Frank S of Cohoes and Albert E Ablett of New York, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the residence and St. Agnes' Church.
