Miss Mary Ablett, 65 years, of 87 Vliet street, for the past 35 years a teacher in the public schools, of Cohoes, was found dead in a spare room off the kitchen of their home by her sister, Miss Agnes H. Ablett, with whom she lived. She had been teaching at School 4, Cohoes, until yesterday, but for some time had been suffering from a nervous ailment. Miss Ablett had been working about the house until after midnight last night, according to her sister, who was the last person to see her alive.

The deceased had been a resident of Cohoes for the major portion of her life and was one of the most popular educators in the vicinity. She had innumerable friends and was highly regarded by all who knew her. Especially was she popular with her pupils, by whom she was beloved.

She was a member of St. Agnes' church and the League of the Sacred Heart connected with that church. She was a graduate of the old Egbert's High school. She was a teacher in Public School No. 4 on Garner street. Besides her sister, one brother, Frank S. Ablett, of Cohoes, and several nieces and nephews survive.
