Tommie King Hornsby, 85, of Columbus, GA, died Friday, February 2, 2018 at Kindred Hospice.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Tony Dickerson officiating.

A burial will be held Monday at 2:00 PM EST at Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett, AL with pallbearers, Matt Phillips, Hunter Phillips, Colby Smith, Jared Reddish, Jeremy Reddish, Hayden Reddish.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hornsby was born February 24, 1932 in Tallapoosa County, AL, daughter of the late John Thomas King and Eloise Linsley King.

She was a member of Pinehurst Baptist Church where she was a soloist, choir member and Sunday School Teacher.

Mrs. Hornsby was a homemaker and loved gardening.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delano Hornsby.

Survivors include her children, Matt Hornsby of Franklin, NC, Robin Gallops (Tim) of Greensboro, GA, Jeffrey Hornsby (Lori) of Phenix City, AL and Susan Hornsby Smith of Phenix City, AL; sister, Juanita Miles of Columbus, GA; brother, Johnny King of the Philippines, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
