Logan and Louise (Altgilbers) Mayfield welcomed an infant daughter 7 September 1919 in Quincy Illinois. They called her Virginia.

Virginia Mayfield grew up to marry William Kattelman 30 October 1944 in St. John's Catholic church, Quincy Illinois.

Virginia Kattelman was devout in the practice of her Catholic faith. As a charitable hobby she along with a group of other women strung rosaries to give away. Mrs. Kattelman was a member of St. John's Catholic church for her entire lifetime. She belonged to St. Francis Catholic church as well.

A lively personality, Mrs. Kattelman was known for her colorful clothing and joie de vivre. She enjoyed spotting redbirds, and the beauty of the outdoors. She enjoyed shopping trips as well.

Most of all, Mrs. Kattelman enjoyed raising her children, and time with her family.

Virginia Kattelman was a nurse's aid at St. Mary hospital in Quincy Illinois.

Virginia (Mayfield) Kattelman passed away at Blessing hospital in Quincy Illinois on 19 May 2008.

Her husband had predeceased her, passing away 20 March 1958.

The funeral for Mrs. Virginia Kattelman was held at Duker and Haugh funeral parlor as well as St. Francis Catholic church in Quincy Illinois. Interment followed, at Calvary cemetery.
