Dorothy Tucker Nichols 94, of Marion, passed away at Southland Nursing Home in Marion. Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday February 12, 2018, from Ephesus Baptist Church with Rev. John Nicholson officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Visitation be one hour prior to the service.
She was born August 20, 1923, in Perry County, to Calvena Carter and Arthur Lloyd Tucker.
She was preceded by her parents; sisters, Beatrice Kirksey, Mildred Nichols, Stella Barnette and Virginia Summers; brother, J.C. Tucker.
Survivors are her husband of 75 years, William Thomas Nichols; children, David (Carol) NIchols, Charles (Dianne) Nichols, Layne Nicols and Alan Lancaster; grandchildren, William (Aimee) Nichols, Heather (Joe) Pritchard, Carly Nichols and Megan (Michael) Bell; Seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; devoted caretakers, Johnnie Morton and Shirley Smith.
Pallbearers will be William Nichols, Parrish Nichols, Sims Nichols, Mabrey Nichols, Gary Seller and Butch Jones.
