Kathy, age 71, died peacefully on Feb. 7, 2018, after an extended battle with cancer.

Kathy was born Jan. 11, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah to George C. West and Lillian B. Jensen.

In 1970, Kathy married John Paul Arthur, Jr.

They moved to Sandy, Utah where they lived the remainder of her life.

Kathy was a member of the LDS church and worked as a sign language interpreter in service to the Deaf community she loved.

Kathy is survived by her devoted husband Paul; four children, Brandon (Tara), Brian (Lola), Lisa (Nicho), and Erin (Lawrence); three brothers, Judd, Jim and John; nine grandchildren; two dogs; and many others dear to her.

A public viewing will be held on Fri., Feb. 16th from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM with a Memorial Service to follow on Sat., Feb. 17th at 11:00 AM.

Both services to be held at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel located at 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah 84095.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrf.org).
