They moved to Seattle in late summer 1901, where their daughter Ethel May was born in 1902. Then, they moved to Mabton, Washington in late 1902, where they had 7 more children: Paul Prentis, Rosa "Pearl", Vera Elizabeth, Leonard Lee, Edith Almira, Carl, and Marian Ruth.
