Dorinda Simmons Cato Love, 85, entered into rest peacefully Friday, February 2, 2018 at Shadow Oaks Assisted Living.
She was the beloved wife of 45 years to the late Mr. Jerry Love and a daughter of the late Mr. James Manning Simmons and the late Mrs. Odessa Nanney Simmons.
Mrs. Love was a native of Mulberry, Florida and made Aiken county her home since 1953. She was a devout Christian and devoted her life to serving her Lord, family, church and community. She touched many lives through her gift of music. She faithfully served as organist at First Baptist Church of Montmorenci for 48 years, taught piano and organ for over 50 years, and played at numerous special events. She was also a dedicated realtor in the CSRA since 1977.
Survivors include one son, Eddie (Sharie) Cato, Lexington; three daughters, Sharon Ann Cato, New Ellenton, Mary Cato (Kevin) Orander, Aiken, Merry Lee Love (Dean) Golding, Blaine, TN; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Mrs. Love was also predeceased by her first husband, Norris H. Cato, one sister, Jeanetta Joiner, and one grandchild, Josh Orander.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville.
