She had 3 sisters and a brother: Madeline, Carmella, Josephine, and Donald. She is preceded in death by her loving husband James Sheldon White. She is survived by 4 children (Jody Laine, Pamela Jean Blanch, Marilyn Teresa White and James Donald White) and 3 grandchildren (Dana Blanch, Alyssa Blanch, and Ashleigh Morgan White.
Teresa had a special gift and that was music. At the age of 10, Teresa convinced her mother to let her begin piano lessons, and she attacked her piano studies with fervor and never stopped. Thus began her long career in music. She was a gifted and accomplished musician and played her piano right up to the end of her life.
Teresa completed her studies at the University of Redlands, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in 1950. She was a wonderful director and pianist, and had a beautiful singing voice. She raised her family in Spring Valley, and later moved to El Cajon, CA. All raised all of her children to become accomplished pianists and musicians. She directed numerous religious and community choirs including the Valley Bells and the Monettes for many years in San Diego.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 21 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel at 1270 South Orange Avenue, El Cajon, California 92020. Viewing will be at 9:15 AM.
