Arline Bonebrake, a daughter of Henry and Anne (Kleven) Austreng, was born on August 16, 1917 at Grand Forks, ND. She later moved with her family to Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1935. After high school, she worked as a bar maid at the The Keg, The Elks and the Leland Parker Hotel all in Minot. On December 7, 1940, she married Kay Bonebrake at Minot. They made their home in Minot until Kay retired in 1977. They then moved to their home on Lake Metigoshe that they had owned since 1952. Kay passed away on October 5, 2013.
Arline was a member of the Metigoshe Lutheran Church and the Metigoshe Lions Club. She was also a Pioneer Daughter, and served as a scout leader. She also served on the Minot Citizens Committee and volunteered for the Democrat Party.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Holman of Lake Metigoshe; son, Darol (Kathy) Bonebrake of Lake Metigoshe; daughter-in-law, Linda Bonebrake of Lake Metigoshe; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Rosemary Brooks of St. Peter, MO and Helen Bonebrake of Minot and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dale Bonebrake; son-in-law, Curtis Holman; grandson, Chad Bonebrake; and sisters, Mickie Knudson and Madeline Blake.
