Rosemarie V. Schnell, 82, of 12208 Steinthal Road, Kiel, earned her wings and went to Heaven to be with her Lord on Tuesday afternoon, January 20, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

Rosemarie was born on January 4, 1933 and raised in the Crystal Lake Area, daughter of the late Valentine and Martha (Buhl) Ramminger. She was a graduate of Elkhart Lake High School, Class of 1951. She worked for a short time at Borden's, Plymouth. On July 16, 1955 Rosemarie was united in marriage to Sherman Schnell at St. George Catholic Church, Elkhart Lake.

Rosemarie and Sherman farmed in the town of Schleswig where they raised their family. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rosemarie was a women of great faith, praying the rosary multiple times each day. She enjoyed listening to Polka music, going to dances, gardening, cooking and was known for her famous pies. She also loved the time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Sherman; three children: Kathy Schnell, Debra (Walter “Butch”) Schneider and Andrew (Kim) Schnell, all of Kiel; five grandchildren: Becky, Brooke and Brock Schneider and Arianna and Nicholas Schnell; one brother: Wallace (Sylvia) Ramminger, Plymouth; one brother-in-law: Richard (Dorothy) Schnell, Kiel; sister-in-law: Bernice (Tom) Keller, Kiel; and her dear friends: Margie Steffes and Eugene (Bernice) Schnell. Rosemarie is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rosemarie was preceded in death by her parents, numerous brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The Funeral Mass for Rosemarie will be held at 12:00 PM (NOON) on Monday, January 26, 2015 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, ( 413 Fremont Street) Kiel, with Rev. Patrick Nelson officiating and Deacon Pat Knier assisting. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 9:30 AM until 11:45 AM, when brief family rites will be held.
