Funeral services for Linda Gordon Cortez, 67 of Tunica, LA will be held at Tunica First Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 10AM with Bro. Luke Hendrickson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Linda Gordon Cortez was born on Saturday, August 05, 1950 in TX and passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband- Douglas Joseph Cortez; father- Roy Watson; mother- Dorothy Hoover Watson; and sister- Shirley Welch.
Survivors include: her son- Lloyd Barnes & wife Deanna of St. Francisville, LA; daughter - Kim Wilson & husband Allen Murray of Tunica, LA; 3 grandchildren- Joshua Wilson & wife Jacqueline of Boston, Bethany Wilson of Natchez, MS, and Abby Barnes of Tunica, LA; 2 great-grandsons- Robert and Matthew Wilson; brother- Buddy Watson & wife Leah of Monterey, LA; and a sister- Azzeline Wiley of Ferriday, LA. The family would like to give a special thanks to her good friend- Deloris Walton.
Pallbearers will be Louisiana State Penitentiary Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at Tunica First Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 5PM til 8PM and Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 9AM until service time at 10AM.
