Jerry Wayne Womack passed away March 3, 2018, at Glenwood Rehab. He celebrated 80 years of living doing what he loved most, making paper. He was affectionately known as “Dad” throughout the Paper Industry. Mr. Womack was the youngest of eleven children [of Rev. Claude Earnest and Mary Lee Anna Mize Womack]. He attended Jonesboro Hodge High School, made paper around the world and retired in 1993 from International Paper. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and mowing. He enjoyed fellowship at the Cowboy Church in Center Star, Alabama.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Greenview Funeral Home from 6-8:00 p.m. No services are scheduled at this time.

He is survived by his wife, of sixty-one years, Patsy Womack; daughter, Gay Allen (Bobby); grandson, Lloyd Allen (Angela); granddaughter, Amy Allen; great-granddaughter, Ava Allen; brother, Nelson Womack (Veda); sister-in-law, Betty Womack and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. You can also play a round of golf, catch a big one or just mow your grass in memory of Jerry “Dad” Womack.
