Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Pierce, 92, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Good Hope Baptist Church. Rev. William Lovett, Jr. and Rev. David Chapman will officiate. Interment to follow at Hasley Cemetery West Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Pierce was born October 21, 1917 in Jackson Parish, LA and passed away October 26, 2009 in Monroe, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvard J. Pierce and her son, Ray Leroy Pierce.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her daughters, Margaret Biggers, Yvonne Pierce, and Jo Gordon; sons, Riley Pierce and Steven Pierce; brothers, Lavelle Womack, Delmar Womack, Kenneth Womack, Nelson Womack and Jerry Womack; sister, Armor Leighn Gray; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and 6 step-grandchildren, 3 step- great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-great grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
