"Stanton, Neb., Jan. 18 ---- Special to The News: Funeral services for Herman Draube, who died Monday at his home after a short illness were to be held Thursday afternoon in St. Lucas' Lutheran church with the Rev. R. M. Jensen in charge. Mr. Draube, the son of August and Carolina Draube was born at Hustiford**, Wis., April 1, 1856, and died at his home in Stanton, Jan. 15, at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 15 days. In 1866 he came with his parents to Stanton county where they took up a homestead on the Draube farm, four and one-half miles east of Stanton, at which time Omaha was the closest market. He lived on the original homestead until 1913 when he moved in Stanton, where he has resided ever since. He was married to Miss Gusta Woeppel in 1880. Two children were born to this union Lodema Moeller of Stanton and Albert of Norfolk, both of whom survive. Mrs. Draube died four years ago. Beside his children, he is survived by a sister Mrs. Minnie Whitwer of Tilden, who was present during his illness, as well as a sister-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Milligan of Liberty, Mo.
