Thomas and Lydia moved to Alabama soon after they married, four of their children were born there. In 1836-37 they moved to Lauderdale Co.,MS. In the 1840 Lauderdale MS census they had 7 children. Two more were born later. They moved to kemper Co., MS in the 1860's during the Civil war. Two of their sons were killed in the Civil War, two weeks apart. It is said that Thomas grieved so much over their death, he died two months later in 1862. One of their sons was John Wells FAG# 67643841 1826-1887 he married Margaret M. Wooten 1830-1909.
