Son of Curtis Washington Brock (~1813-bef 1880) and Mary A. Rhem (1818-1839).

On 24 January 1860 in Craven County, North Carolina, he marries Susan M. French (1841-1896).

On 27 April 1899 in Cleveland County, Oklahoma Territory, he marries Sarah E. Barr Davis (~1850-1905).

In 1900, he, his second wife Sarah, and children are living on their own farm that is free of mortgage in Norman Township, Cleveland County, Oklahoma. He is age 62, born about 1838. His name is noted as Robert Brock. It states that he has been married for 34 years since about 1866. It states that he and his parents were born in Oklahoma.
Note: His parents were both born in North Carolina.

Also living with him is his granddaughter, Jessie Brock, who is noted as his daughter. In addition, his step-daughter Mamie I. Davis is living with him.

Mr. R. J. Brock Passed Away
Funeral Be Held This Afternoon

Mr. R. J. Brock, aged seventy-eight years, died at the home of his daughter near Maple Cypress late Friday afternoon. The cause of death is not known here.

The deceased was a Confederate veteran, being a member of Company K, Second North Carolina regiment, and members of the New Bern camp of Veterans will attend the funeral in a body today.

All who desire to attend were asked to meet at Jones livery stable at one o’clock and transportation will be provided for them.

The funeral will be conducted at the Judge Green home near Jasper at two o’clock and the interment will be in the family graveyard.

It is unknown if he has a grave marker. In 2006, there was a small United Daughters of the Confederacy square marker for him that was almost unreadable.
