MRS. WESIE J. ARTHUR
(1886-1957)
Mrs. Wesie Johnson Arthur, 71, of Highland Bend, Sciotoville, died Sunday in her home after an illness of several months. She was the widow of Ernest Lee Arthur, who died in 1954.
Born May 18, 1886, in Washburn, Mo., Mrs. Arthur was a daughter of the late James and Sarah Bartlett Johnson. She was also preceded in death by a son, two brothers and her husband, whom she married June 12, 1908.
Surviving are two sons, Paul of Washington Court House, and Chester of Highland Bend; a sister, Mrs. Lola Spring of Cleveland; two brothers, Gordon of Arcadia, Calif., and Joseph Lee, address unknown; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Arthur was a member of Central Christian Church.
Funeral services will b conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Gill Funeral Home with Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home.
