Yrene Yznaga, daughter of Antonio Jose Yznaga, the patriarch of the Yznaga family in Texas, and Maria Juana Gonzalez, was born May 28, 1862 in Brownsville, Texas.
She married Thomas Mifflin Kenedy July 31, 1885.
Yrene died July 4, 1887 at the age of 25. While she and Thomas were building a house in Brownsville, TX, at which time Yrene was pregnant, she fell down a flight of unfinished stairs. Yrene was taken to Corpus Christi for medical treatment and while there suffered a miscarriage. Her baby was stillborn and Yrene died shortly thereafter.
