Funeral services for Algie Bates. 69, who died Saturday, will be conducted Thursday at 3 pm at Smyrna AME Church, Waterloo, by Rev. W.D. Coker. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rosa Ann Jones of Gray Court and Mrs. Annette Jones of Washington, DC.; two sons, John Wade Bates of Washington and Algie Davis Bates of Fountain Inn; two brothers, Wade Bates of Lanford and Brooks Bates of Hodges; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The body is at Beasley's Funeral Home, Fountain Inn.
