Aged Resident Dies at Family Residence
Final Summons Comes to Mrs. Margaret Rieth After a Long Illness with Paralysis

Mrs. Margaret Rieth died of paralysis and old age shortly after 9 o'clock at her residence, 103 East LaRue St. She had been ill since Christmas Day. The decedent was born August 4, 1836 in Bavaria and as Mrs. Lurz was married for the second time, 37 years ago at Long Point. Her first husband Michael Lurz, died during the first year of their arrival here, in 1873. Her maiden name was Margaret Kroa. Four children of the first marriage survive: Mrs. Minnie Rice, of this city; Mrs. Charles Hiller, of Denver; Mrs. Louise Emm, Wenona; and Frank Lurz, Streator. From the second marriage one son, George Rieth, survives.

The funeral service will be held at 9 o'clock Thursday morning at St. Anthony's church, interment at St. Mary's.
