Obituary, Florida Timjes-Union, March 18, 2018
Gordon Loy Hendry, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 15, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 16, 1932, in Michigan to Leo and Janie Hendry and was the youngest of nine children.

Gordon served in the Army during the Korean War, stationed in Okinawa Japan. Later, he worked for the United States Department of Agriculture as a meat inspector.

On October 31, 1950 Gordon married the love of his life, Anne Ruth ( Baskette)Hendry. They went on to have three children, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He did not know the word "can't" and was very determined until his last day. His love for his family was like no other. His quick wit and charm will be remembered fondly and greatly missed.
