Greg A. Ciha, age 43, of 1703 Lilac Drive, Manitowoc, died Saturday evening, May 31, 1997, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.

Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 1997, at Calvary Assembly of God, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Steven D. Miles with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.

He was born December 10, 1953, in Two Rivers, son of Albert Ciha Jr. and the late Marilyn Schultz Ciha. Greg was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1973. He then graduated from Christ for the Nations of Dallas, Texas, obtaining his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biblical Studies. Greg then worked as a missionary in Tel Aviv, Israel, and the state of Hawaii. He then attended Dallas Baptist University obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Business Science. He was also a Certified Nurseryman which lead him to his job as grounds keeper at Dallas Baptist University.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Albert and Therese Ciha, Manitowoc; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Paul Schmitz, Manitowoc; a step-sister and her fiancé, Debra Provost and Al Hoeppner, Sheboygan; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Barry and Carla Ciha, Appleton, Mickey Ciha, Two Rivers; a step-brother, David Provost, Manitowoc; a step-grandmother, Agnes Barbier, Wausau. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Shawn, Shane, Stephanie and Jeff Schmitz, Melissa, Eric and A.J. Ciha, Mike and Michelle Nicholas. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends. Greg was also preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Ciha, his paternal grandparents, Albert and Amanda Ciha Sr., his maternal grandparents, William and Cora Schultz, and step-grandfather, Smokey Barbier Sr.

Friends may call at the Calvary Assembly of God on Tuesday evening from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Assembly of God Youth Ministries.
The Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Greg’s family would like to thank Drs. Schmidt, Verlinden and Bhatt, and everyone at the Manitowoc Health Care Center that made Greg’s last few months as comfortable as possible for him. A special thanks to the Jim Toerpe and John Rosinsky familieis for their special friendships with Greg, especially his friends at Dallas Baptist University.
