Paul A Gant, of Pennsville, NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018. He was born In Penns Grove, New Jersey in August 1928 to the late Mary Costello and Frank Gant.
He was employed at DuPont, Jackson Laboratory for 40 years as a Laboratory Supervisor. He served in the Korean War, with the Army Medical Field Service where he received the Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze service stars, the National Defense Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal. He also served as a volunteer with the Pennsville Fire and Rescue Squad.
Paul is survived by his wife of 67 years, Genevieve McAllister Gant; daughter, Lorraine Cox (Brian) of Pennsville, sons Daniel Gant of Raleigh, NC and Dale Gant (Sutton) of Pennsville; grandchildren, Kayla Gant (Claire), Kyle Gant, Tyler Cox, Erica Mulhern (Kevin), Heather Smith (Jeff), Kendall Lynch; great grandchildren, Georgia Mulhern, Mila Mulhern, Cohen Petrutz, Kylie Smith and Kiera Smith.
Paul was one of nine children and is survived by his sister, Catherine Micallef of Carneys Point, NJ. Predeceased include Tom, Joseph, Al, Leo, Charles, Russell and Jim Gant. He was predeceased by his half-brothers Frank and John. As with all his siblings, Paul's life was devoted to family.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 22, 11:00 am at Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, NJ.
