Three of Mr. Armstrong's sons were graduated from the Johns Hopkins University and are now successful mechanical and electrical engineers. Another is a student at the same institution, while a fifth is preparing to enter. Mr. Armstrong is survived by a widow and two daughters in addition to the sons, They are: Messrs. J. R. C. A, Armstrong, electrical engineer of the New York Central Railway subway; W. E. F. Armstrong, of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad; T. E. G. Armstrong, electrical engineer, with the Westinghouse Electric Company; A. G. Armstorng and A. N. Armstrong and Misses C. E. and M. A. Armstrong.

The three sisters surviving Mr. Armstrong are Misses Fannie and Elizabeth Armstrong who live at the ancestral home and Mrs. James McClogby, whose husband is surgeon general of the Indian Army.

The active pallbearers will be Mr. Armstong's five nephews - Messrs. F. H. Hatchell, of England, F. C. Kirkwood, A. G. Armstrong, J. T. Armstrong, Benjamin Norris and Dr. J. R. Abercrombie.

The funeral of Mr. James Armstrong, treasurer and manager of the Kelmol Chemical Company, whose home was at 1811 Maryland avenue, took place yesterday morning from St. Bartholomew's Protestant Episcopal Church. rev. Dr. Edward H. Ingle, of Clarke county, Virginia, and formerly rector of St. Bartholomew's, and Rev. W. Page Dame, the present rector, officiated at the service. The interment was in Greenmount Cemetery.
