Lillian Jones Richins (85) passed away March 17, 2018. She was born March 13, 1933 in Virden, New Mexico. She is the daughter of Parley Penrose Jones and Lillian Dorothy Mortensen Jones. She grew up in Virden, New Mexico and graduated from Virden High School. She went to BYU for two years and then married her high school sweetheart on September 6, 1952 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Devaun and Lillian started their married life together in a remote place called Animas, NM in 1952. Together they raised their four children there. She helped her husband in the farming and ranching operations for over 50 years. She was very active in the LDS church, involved in Leadership and teaching positions her entire life. She also was musically talented, playing the piano and organ at many different programs and activities. She had a big heart always opening her home for nieces and nephews for the summers and many other visitors.

She is survived by her children Lyle Devaun (LaStar) of St. George, UT; Dorothy Crane (Melvin) of Bennington, ID; and Janell Palmer (Steve), of Mesa, AZ, her brother Delwin(Maurine)

Jones, of Tempe, AZ, 21 grandchildren and 59 great grandchildren Also surviving are son in law, Ben M. Allen (Monica) of Cedar Crest, NM. She is preceded in death by her husband Darvel Devaun Richins, daughter Joycelyn Allen, grandson Dane Richins Palmer, great granddaughter Joycelyn Eva DeBuck, brothers Fred, Harry Lavern, Marvin, and Chester Jones.

Services will be held Saturday March 24, at 1:00 pm, at the Animas LDS Chapel. Viewing an hour prior. Services are for daylight savings time for NM. Interment will follow at the Animas-Cotton City Cemetery.
